Cave
There is a universal wisdom which underlies all of the worlds religions and which says that the natural world is pervaded by the spiritual world. Materialism has elevated the human part of the great chain of being at the expense of the natural and the spirit world. However, humans are that part of creation which is conscious of the natural world and praises the creator.
What psychological and spiritual difference would it make to us if we were in touch with the natural world as ecology and as revelation? Could it be that the geology of caves is a metaphor for human experience? Do the myths associated with caves parallel their geology? Is there a psychological significance to caves? Does each of these levels
help us to understand caves as sites of spiritual activity?
